1000 V insulation tester

The IT-1000 is a digital insulation resistance tester for routine maintenance and acceptance testing of electrical installations, switchgear, transformers, motors, cables and telecom equipment. It offers four DC test voltages from 100V to 1000V and measures insulation resistance up to 10.00 GΩ with automatic range selection. A separate AC voltage input covers 20 – 600V for verifying that circuits are de-energized before testing.

100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V DC. Choose the voltage that matches the rated insulation level of the equipment under test.
How do I select the right test voltage?
As a general guide: 100V or 250V for low-voltage control cables, 500V for motor windings, and 1000V for higher-voltage equipment. Follow relevant industry standards or site maintenance procedures.
What is the maximum insulation resistance?
10.00 GΩ on the 1000V DC range.
Can it measure AC voltage?
Yes. The AC voltage range is 20 – 600V, useful for confirming that a circuit is de-energized before insulation testing.
What safety features does it have?
High-voltage warning symbols are displayed during insulation tests. Always confirm the circuit is de-energized and discharged before testing, and do not touch test terminals while high voltage is applied.
What batteries does it use?
6 × 1.5V AA (LR6) alkaline batteries, included. Auto power-off occurs after 10 minutes of inactivity.
