Battery IR + DMM
The RDM-1 measures battery internal resistance from 0.1 mΩ to 200 Ω (±0.5%) and voltage to ±100 V, then switches to a 25000-count True RMS multimeter with temperature for everything else. It is built for battery pack QC, cell sorting and maintenance work where one tool must judge both the cells and the circuit around them.

FAQ
What is the difference between RDM-1 and a normal multimeter?
RDM-1 is an IR meter + multimeter in one. Besides a 25000-count True RMS multimeter (voltage / resistance / capacitance / frequency / temperature / diode / continuity), it measures battery internal resistance (0.1 mΩ – 200 Ω) and voltage through the aviation plug — a normal multimeter cannot read battery IR.
Which batteries can the IR section test?
Starter, lead-acid (deep-cycle / VRLA), 18650, Li-po, LiFePO4, NiMH, NiCd, alkaline, zinc-carbon, LiPo and super-capacitors. The manual lists reference IR ranges per battery type for comparison.
Can I connect AC to the IR input?
No. The IR port is an aviation plug for DC only, max DC 100 V. AC input is prohibited and may damage the meter.
How accurate is the multimeter?
25000-count True RMS; DC voltage ±(0.05%+3), AC voltage ±(0.5%+3), resistance ±(0.5% – 5%) by range. Readings stay stable without jumping.
Does it support calibration?
A user calibration / learning mode is provided (ranges 0 Ω – 200 Ω and several voltage steps). Units ship 100% calibrated, so you normally need no extra calibration; calibrate a single range or restore factory defaults if abnormal.
Is the battery standard? How do I charge it?
The built-in 2000 mAh Li-ion is standard. Charge via Type-C with a 5V adapter or PC USB; the indicator is red while charging and turns blue when full.
