Lux + climate
The LX-1 measures illuminance up to 200,000 lux (20,000 fc) with a silicon photocell and optical filter, and doubles as a thermo-hygrometer. Its three-color backlight marks low, moderate and strong light levels, which makes lighting checks fast for photography, workplaces and plant care.

FAQ
The standard requires 300 lux in classrooms — how to measure?
Place the sensor horizontally on the desk surface, away from direct sun and obstructions, read in lux. GB 50034 sets desk surface ≥300 lux and blackboard ≥500 lux.
Why is the indoor reading low?
Confirm the cap is removed, the sensor faces the light source, and take a representative point >1 m from the fixture; averaging several reads is more accurate.
Can it measure street lights?
Yes, but outdoor night illuminance is usually <100 lux; for direct sun use an attenuating filter or fc units to avoid saturation.
How often to calibrate?
Silicon cells age slowly; annual calibration is recommended. For certification/acceptance, send it to a metrology lab for a calibration certificate.
