2500 V insulation tester

The IT-2500B is a digital insulation resistance tester for medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment. It provides four DC test voltages from 500V to 2500V and measures insulation resistance up to 20.00 GΩ. A separate AC voltage input covers 20 – 600V for verifying isolation before testing. It is suited to switchgear, transformers, high-voltage motors and power cables where higher test voltages are required.

IT-2500B provides higher test voltages up to 2500V DC and a larger insulation resistance range up to 20.00 GΩ, making it suitable for medium- and high-voltage cables, transformers and motors.
What test voltages are available?
500V, 1000V, 1500V and 2500V DC.
What is the maximum insulation resistance?
20.00 GΩ on the 2500V DC range.
What safety precautions apply to high-voltage insulation testing?
Confirm the equipment is fully de-energized and discharged before testing. The meter outputs high voltage and displays warning symbols during the test. Do not touch test terminals while high voltage is applied. Turn the meter off before removing test leads.
Can it measure AC voltage?
Yes. The AC voltage range is 20 – 600V, useful for confirming that a circuit is live or isolated.
What batteries does it use?
6 × 1.5V AA (LR6) alkaline batteries, included. Auto power-off occurs after 10 minutes of inactivity.
