FAQ
What is the difference between MM-2 and MM-1?
MM-2 is inductive (non-contact): place it on the surface to read moisture without damaging the material — ideal for acceptance checks and surfaces that must stay intact. MM-1 is pin-type: two pins insert into the material for ±2% accuracy, suited to single-point deep sampling.
How accurate is the moisture reading?
Four material curves are built in; typical accuracy is ±4% in normal use. Keep the surface clean and the sample thickness ≥ 19 mm, otherwise substrate effects may shift the result.
Can it measure concrete?
Yes. Switch to Masonry mode (range 5%–70%); it covers cement floors, brick walls and stone moisture content.
Why does the reading fluctuate?
Confirm thickness ≥ 19 mm, firm contact with the sensing area, and keep the meter away from metal. If needed, select the correct material mode or wait 2–3 s for the reading to stabilize.
